Oh I know this person too. Always demands discord; I've never felt the need to "pug" with them. I put that in inverted commas because it's not really a pug, it's just using someone else for their heroes.
On a side note, the "you're a monk" thing is completely valid. Teams will suffer through countless missions where the monk doesn't know how to play and they won't complain for fear of them leaving.
It's not as if they have to wait for an important class to join the team to go, so they can pick and choose.
Also - "wtf no tank? take defy pain" ... Makes me facepalm every time. /rant

Him: WTS Ultra-rare sword, pm me!
Me: and whats this ultra rare sword of yours?
Him: Wanna see?
Me(knowing I was in for a laugh): why not
Him: the sword wasn't rare a couple years ago. But nowadays, it has a .004 chance of dropping, which makes it very rare
He shows me a Murakai's Blade
Me: thats not rare
Him: Yeah, well, that's what you think.
I guess what they say about statistics is true; 90% of 'em are made up.

That's like a guy I ran into in Shing Jea:
Him: WTS Green Daggers from Eye of the North 10k
Me: What daggers are those? [out of curiosity]
Him: Wanna see?
Me: That's OK, you can just tell me.
Him: No, I'll show.
[Of course he insists on running across the whole district to show me Claws of Broodmother]
Me: Yeah, that's actually super common because people get that from farming raptors. You should probably just merch it or sell it for cheap.
Him: Lmao. I've farmed 5 of these today already and sold all of them.
[I kind of call BS on that last statement, but I do feel bad if people actually paid 10k for those worthless daggers]

I've had the reverse happen to me. I had a large sale pending, got up to the guy, he suddenly backs out at the trade window and says he just "learned" that price (well below market average) wasn't worth it. He must have thought if I was willing to undercut that much, I'd bottom out and just give him everything.

Uhh hate to take the side of a kid but alot of assasins are bad and die very quickly. I'd say 600 health is minimum, I agree 650 is a little over the top considering daggers are dual wield but yeah...
I'm not saying you're bad, the monk could be bad after all but fyi 600 health is ftw(armor's okay too, just none of that radiant crap)

I'm taking the side of the assassin, 600 is good. Anything below 450 is bad. Everyone between in fine though. A monks job is to heal the team. Tanking and nuking sucks, if the monk couldn't keep a frontliner alive because of his health wasn't higher than 600 he should consider changing professions.

570-600 is minimum (570 if you're running armor). 450 is just a clueless moron nevermind bad. A monk's job is to heal the team but it's easier when people run the right equipment, I can tell instantly when someone doesn't have enough health because im forced to keep healing him and keep him close to 100% health just in case there is a burst of damage, causing overheals and wasted energy. Usually it can be healed through in the quick 1-2 minute RA matches but once the game drags on smart players on the other team will just hammer the crap out of the guy with low health and burn the monks energy.
Also usually when monks are complaining about sins dying too quickly it's because they overextend or because the monk underextends, in both scenario's the extra health allows the monk to stay a little bit further away from the enemies damage dealers and more time to react or prekite.
I'm not saying that as soon as you run 560 health or below you're going to die every 30 seconds and cause your healer to blow up but the less health/armor you run, the more strain you put on your monk to keep you alive and most close arena games come down to a key interrupt or whichever monk is able use their energy the most efficiently to keep their team up. In a close game you don't want your monk to have to keep healing you every time you take damage.
Now maybe the monk wasn't paying attention and tried to cover up the fact that he reacted too slow by blaming the assassin but there's nothing wrong with saying that people should be running close to 600 in their defensive set as a minimum (assuming people bring them...)

Not to derail, but 600hp on an assassin? No self-respecting assassin is going to run survivor insignia. Nightstalker's or Blessed. Usually you have two assassin runes (minor dagger and minor critstrikes) and a sup vigor. This makes 480 base + 50 = 530hp, leaving two rune spots and weapon mods. The runes will probably be vitae or attunement (personal preference, also depending on build) and the weapon mod will probably be fortitude or enchanting (good chance it's enchanting, given the great sin enchants). Anyway, I'm in the camp "assassins should have around 530-550hp".
